Oh, Whistle And I'll Come To You, My Lad

My entry for the upcoming Ghosts group exhibition at The Horsebridge Gallery, Whitstable. Which runs from December 8 - 23 2011. http://bit.ly/umo5wX
Each work is inspired by a classic ghost story - my entry is "Oh, Whistle And I'll Come To You, My Lad" by MR James.
A departure from my usual illustration style, entering the previously seldom known world of acyrlic paint.

Unseasonal Unstable Unusual Unexplained Whitstable

My postcards have arrived! Available to buy from The Horsebridge Art Centre in Whitstable, or mail me. At the moment each card is just £1, plus p&p.

Unexplained Whitstable.
A clear night in November of 2008. A saucer was seen gliding silently above Harbour Street. Its orange beam of light seeking something, or someone. Was it looking for you?

Peter Cushing.
Local resident and actor of the supernatural.

Whitstable Panther.
By day pleasure seekers rest and play in their Beach Huts, but as the moonlight falls on Tankerton Slopes, the panther leaps.

The Giant Fox.
As tall as a man, and as orange as fire, the Giant Fox cries like a baby in the night.

Theres only a limited run at the moment - so be quick! The popular ones will be reprinted again soon.

French

A few scribbles scribbled while watching Spiral on TV. The actors have incredible faces, but I was too busy reading the subtitles at the same time to do them justice!

Hythe alive

Then there was a cloudy blue and chalky sky, over grey water, creamy pebbles, and a big pile of big rocks. A red slope up to the path; and the path with chewing gum on it. 2 people jogged straight past, right to left. A man in a weatherproof mac stood by the edge eating a £2 ice cream. A family played ball with their dog. Two men sat on the big rocks talking into their phones. Not to each other.
To the right, just off the page, four Indian men sat fishing under giant silver umbrellas.

Imitation is the sincerest form of larceny

An incredible act of prescience, Slice of Life......
Published a week before the riots in Croydon and Peckham and other parts of London and England. Rioters included ballerinas, olympic athletes, teaching assistants, children, and mums, all exercising their free will, and deciding to go outside and set buildings on fire, and steal stuff.
