Staffordshire Saxon

A couple of drawings showing the Staffordshire Saxon sculpture by Andy Edwards coming to life, and walking through the streets of Stoke-On-Trent, back through time, to the ancient kingdom of Mercia.

Morling and the Hoard

One of last years most exciting projects was to create an animation to accompany the sculptures of Katharine Morling, for the exhibition "Morling and the Hoard". Katharine created 10 sculptures based on the designs that decorate the artefacts of the Staffordshire Hoard - the largest Anglo Saxon treasure hoard ever discovered. 

My animation depicts the unearthing of the treasure by Terry Herbert, and its transformation into the ancient mythological gods that Katharine has created.

The exhibition, and animation is on permanent display at the Potteries Museum and Art Gallery in Stoke-On-Trent.
