Summer postcards

The smashing new range of Whitstable postcards have arrived just in time for summer!
The range includes reprints of 2 favourites: Peter Cushing, and the giant fox.
Also, 2 new postcard versions of the most popular images from the Weird Whitstable show - the sea serpent wrapped around the Maunsell Forts, and the summery image of the seagull making off with someone's cat!

Even more exciting is a game for all the family: The game of Celebrity Spotting!
We all know that Whitstable is the playground of the rich and famous (and not so rich, and not so famous), but can you spot them? Use these cheeky fun cards to see how many you can find!
* Please note, stars may not be wearing their distinctive costumes, and may be in disguise, and may indeed be someone who just looks a bit like them.

Each card features 9 celebrities who have been seen in and around the town. Compete with your friends and family, collect the set!
Keep your eyes peeled for the super-rare superstar in the centre - gain extra points if this one is found!

All of these exciting postcards can be purchased from The Horsebridge Centre in Whitstable.

Weird Whitstable lives!

Weird Whitstable has passed, but has risen from the grave and gone on to an afterlife on the internet. Not only can you relive the drama of the exhibition, but there is also a blog to reveal the latest unusualnesses in Whitstable. Feel free to comment, leave your own stories, email me or order prints.

2 Weirdos

Heres two pictures featured in my Weird Whitstable exhibition..... come and see if you believe!
In the summer of 1935, sunbathers and holiday makers witnessed a sea serpent near Herne Bay. It was chased away by local boats, but it still lives!

In the icy winter of 1940, the sea’s waves froze in shape, and formed ice mountains.
You can see in the photograph, local climbing clubs using them for practice.

Weird Whitstable is coming....

Very excited to be on the cover of the Kent Messenger's Whats On section this week!
Its been several years of collecting stories and artefacts, but at last theres enough to prove to the sceptics that theres a darker side to Whitstable just round the bend. Beyond the slippy oysters and whopping whippy ice creams, in the shadows, when the Londoners have returned to Hackney, peculiar things emerge. Eerie sounds echo down the ancient streets. The howling..... the clip-clop of undead ponies.... the tinkling of china tea sets from out at sea. Oh my gawd! Draw the curtains! Don't look!
Do look, I dare you!
Weird Whitstable is on display from 13 February until 31 March, at Whitstable's Horsebridge Gallery 3.
Come along, prepare to quiver....

Many thanks to Chris Price, who wrote this piece for the paper.

UPDATE! Weird Whitstable has been delayed for unexplained reasons.
The show will now open on Saturday 16th February......

Weird Whitstable postcard 1

The first in a series of supernatural Whitstable themed postcards. This one is of the marvellous Peter Cushing, Hammer Horror star, and former local. Upcoming cards will feature chilling images and peculiarities.
